2008 Late Harvest Riesling

Wine Spectator - James Molesworth

This has a good sweet-sour interplay, with citrus peel and floral notes backed by a tangy apple hint. Bright and focused, with additional peach and persimmon notes on the medium-weight finish. Drink now through 2010. 64 cases made.

Score: 88

Pinot Noir:

2008 Barrel Reserve Pinot Noir

Burghound - Allan Meadows

A perfumed nose exhibits discreet though not invisible wood... which allows the very fresh and airy aromas of raspberry and cherry to shine. There is fine volume and plenty of extract to the delicious and attractively complex flavors that possess a dusty and sappy finish. This ever-so-slightly sweet finish is just about fully mature and could easily be enjoyed now.

2008 Pinot Noir

Burghound - Allan Meadows

An admirably pure and deeply spicy nose features notes of violet, plum and oak hints. There is excellent mid-palate concentration to the round, rich and even lush flavors that possess a suave mouth feel before terminating in a delicious and mouth coating finish. This is sufficiently forward that it could easily be enjoyed now though for my taste I would cellar it for another 2 to 3 years first.
